A modern boathouse with the form of an egg provides new opportunities for the researchers of Marine life. The project originated as a result of a collaboration between the PAD and the Studio SPUD Group. The researcher Stephen Turner also had a big impact - it will work the next year there.
Modern Boathouse helps researchers
The estuary of the River Beaulieu in Britain offers great way to research of marine animals. Especially there was a modern boathouse built, which has a laboratory and has the necessary equipment for the researchers. The construction of the boathouse combines a ship and a house. It's made of wood from the area. Inside there are a bed, desk and small open, and a bathroom. The Bottshaus can defy bad weather - sun, wind and rain are no danger

The" egg "has a sustainable design that is perfectly matched with Stephens everyday. Solar panels will provide enough energy for his laptop, camera and cell phone. The concept is environmentally friendly - recycled materials came during the construction are used. So the Englishman doctorate called the green life. Its purpose - as part of a year to investigate aquatic life and keep track of the different cycles. In this way he hopes to protect the marine species and to inform the local people about it.
